New Horizons Holdin' Ground Project - with Bay Roberts 50 Plus ClubThe Foundation has been working with the Bay Roberts 50 Plus Club and with students of Ascension Collegiate on a project to record the memories of seniors in the community. The Ascension students interviewed selected seniors in the community asking them about various aspects of their lives. The interviews were conducted in a variety of formats: audio, text transcription, audio transcription, and video. Those interviewed signed permission slips about how the material could be used. For those who gave permission, a website is now online with links to interviews which have been placed on YouTube. For those who did not wish to be placed on the Internet, the materials are going to be duplicated and given to Ascension Collegiate, the 50 PLus Club, the Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation, and the Bay Roberts Archives.
