Grand Old Christmas Time - December 7, 2011
Organized by the Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation
Featuring music, skits, and mummers.
A highlight of the show was "A Christmas Guest"
which reflects the true meaning of Christmas.

The "Time" consists of:
Traditional three course Newfoundland Scoff.
Skits and stories based on the works of Ted Russell, Kelly's Dad, who in 2011 was named "A Person of Provincial Significance" for his portrayal of outport life in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Musical performances by Kelly, Russells in the Corner, and a guest performer.

The Holdin' Ground Festivial - July 8 - August 1, 2011. The Festival highlights the characteristics of our culture which have always made our province a holdin' ground, as Bay Roberts native son, Newfoundland writer Ted Russell, describes it.
60th Anniversary
Municipality of Bay Roberts [1951-2011]
2011 is the 60th Anniversary of the Incorportation of the municipality of Bay Roberts, so a number of special events will be held. Be sure to visit over the summer!!
The town of Bay Roberts has matured from its humble beginning as a fishing settlement to one of the most prosperous towns in the province.

The Foundtion was delighted when the Honourable Terry French, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation announced the latest designations under the Provincial Historic Commemorations. Ted Russell was named a Person of Provincial Significance. Clarence Mercer, as Chair of the BRCF accepted the plaque outlining the designation at a ceremony at The Rooms in St. John's on June 8, 2011.
