Sponsorship & Fund Raising

Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation

The Board raises funds to support ongoing projects, and to develop the artistic and cultural heritage living village of Pigeon Inlet.

Fund raising is carried out in a number of ways.

Volunteers 2011

Running community activites requires a large number of volunteers. If you are interested in the Foundation's goals and our activities, consider volunteering you time. The foundation needs a variety of people with a variety of skills and interests. Volunteers are needed for: committee work, helping with the seniors' Holdin' Ground Project, setting up McKay Lodge for "A Time in Pigeon Inlet" and cleaning up after each performance, and selling "Bay Roberts Cultural Foudation Products" including moose burgers and moose sausages.

For "A Time in Pigeon Inlet" and during the "Holdin' Ground Festival," volunteers are needed for acting, musical and storytelling performances; as well as for demonstrations of specific traditional skills and crafts.

Fund Raising 2011

  • Applications for funding to appropriate government and not-government organizations.
  • Sponsorship by corporate sponsors.
  • Fund raising events - "Old Time Community Concert," "Mussel Boil at the Three Sisters, selling Moose Burgers and Moose Sausages at town events, including the 2011 Winter Carnival. .
  • Selling promotional products, such as Pigeon Inlet Shirts and Hats.
  • Selling items on tickets, including the portrait of Ted Russell by well known Newfoundland artist Gerry Squires.
  • "A Time in Pigeon Inlet.". - so far the "Time" is breaking even. We did not expect to make a large amount of money on this event. We are staging it to increase awareness of Ted Russell's works and as well as preserve the idea of a "Newfoundland Time."

Sponsorship 2011

Over the past two years, we have been building the Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation which is working to preserve the rich cultural, literary, and artistic heritage of the communities that make up the town of Bay Roberts, consequently, adding to the cultural preservation of the whole province.

We invite you to be part of building our endeavour though sponsorship of our activities. We offer three levels of sponsorship which are described in the PDF document below. We are a Registered Charity with the Canada Revenue Agency and as such any donation you give is tax deductible.

The Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation would like to thank you in advance for your review and consideration of sponsorship material.

If you have any questions, please contact us. If you are unable to make personal contact, please leave a message, and we will return your call.
